Editorial standards

The rules this site operates under. They apply to every ranking, review, and guide we publish.

No paid placement

Brands cannot pay to be included, excluded, moved up, or moved down. There is no fee for review. Inclusion is determined by the evidence requirements on our methodology page — nothing else.

Affiliate neutrality

Some outbound links may become affiliate links. Affiliate status never affects rank position, score, inclusion, or wording. Every brand that qualifies receives equivalent outbound treatment, and rankings are computed from the same data whether or not a brand has an affiliate program.

Evidence before claims

Every polyphenol value is attributed to a lab method and, where available, a named laboratory or linked certificate of analysis. Marketplace listings and retailer copy are never used as a primary source for lab claims — they serve as price and stock fallback only.

Cautious health language

Health statements follow the EU register of authorized claims (Regulation 432/2012) with the required daily-intake condition attached. We do not describe olive oil as treating, curing, or preventing disease, and we flag where EFSA has not established cause and effect.

Machine-assisted drafting, human-reviewed publishing

Drafts may be machine-assisted. Every published page is human-reviewed and edited before going live. No content is auto-published.

Corrections

We correct errors quickly and log material corrections publicly. If you spot a wrong price, harvest date, lab figure, or stock error, write to us and we will verify against the primary source.

Truthful provenance

We answer honestly when asked who operates the site. We apply the same transparent methodology to every brand we evaluate, including any brand connected to people who work on this site — same ranking rules, same evidence requirements, same outbound treatment.
